About the Job

This is a supervisory position responsible for the management of various manufacturing shifts in printing Operations Department.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities: (includes, but not limited to):
-Position oversees the following groups on the shift: Adhesive Lamination, Material Handling, Slitting, Extrusion Lamination and Rewinders
-Oversee and direct all activities of the personnel assigned to their shift.
-Ability to multi-task and handle frequently changing priorities and issues.
-Ability to analyze problems and develop traditional and non-traditional solutions to issues.
-Ability to motivate and direct employees in a positive, constructive manner.
-Ensure achievement of quality, production, productivity and safety goals for department
-Machine speeds, job quality, producing to schedule, etc.
-Ability and comfort working with production data; report generation, review, communication and use of associated metrics in improvement of the production process
-Assist the Scheduling Department in defining and maintaining work flow through the department and ensuring adequate supply of materials for your shift's operation
-Oversee department manning requirements including vacation planning and coverage
-Oversee employee on-the-job training
-Must comply with all general Company-wide standard operating procedures (SOP's) and any job or department specific SOP's.
-SOP's may cover the areas of Employee Health and Safety, SQF (Safe Quality Food packager) and GMP (good manufacturing procedures) focused on eliminating contaminates in all packaging manufactured.
-SGP (Sustainable Green Printer) environmental regulatory procedures and SOP's
-Oversee and ensure compliance with SQF cleaning procedures for machines on the assigned shift
-Special projects and production teams as needed or assigned.

Working hours: 1st shift

Minimum of five (5) years of manufacturing supervision
Knowledge of flexographic/web handling and converting processes including printing, lamination (adhesive and extrusion) and slitting processes is preferred, but supervisory skills are key.
Excellent PC skills including experience with MRP/ERP systems and related data reporting, timekeeping/attendance systems/software, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook are required.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and presentation skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to define and solve problems dealing with many variables and machine tolerances and standards.
Ability to drive change in the organization and plant through employee engagement, open communication, sharing of ideas, and a focus on servant leadership.
