Salary InformationWeekly Rate: $612.50 - $1543.00
Responsible for the monitoring, acceptance, activation, testing, maintenance and repair of infrastructure equipment and associated electrical, alarming and building monitoring systems per specifications and operational procedures, in central offices and remote facilities. This includes hands on preventative maintenance (routines) of AC/DC Power, testing of all generator backup systems, associated transfer switches and fuel systems. Responsible for maintenance and repair of the physical facilities structures, security, and peripheral systems. Responsible for emergency power and physical facility remedies at all technical facilities and is a first responder during natural disasters or any other facilities threat to network safety.
A. Performs acceptance testing, activation, repair and maintenance of power plant equipment, following standard practices in the performance of job duties. Interprets office drawings, schematics, wiring lists, wiring diagrams and equipment drawings.
B. Operates various terminal devices and personal computers to receive and complete work instructions from supervisor or other designated employees in connection with the provisioning and maintenance of service.
C. Analyzes defects and installs, replaces, tests, repairs and maintains power plant circuits and equipment by using complex testing equipment, computers and various documents.
D. Performs routine and repetitive maintenance such as inspecting, cleaning, testing, lubricating, etc. and maintains detailed equipment records and maintenance logs.
E. Moves, connects, and activates portable power generators and other materials generally not exceeding 100 lbs.
A. Must meet safety-related requirements including but not limited to those standards of safety imposed by OSHA, state agencies, manufacturers and/or the company.
B. Must be able to perform physical requirements of the job, with or without a reasonable accommodation, including, but not limited to, perceiving differences in wire and cable colors, moving and/or lifting materials generally not exceeding 100 lbs., and working aloft or in close quarters.
C. Ability and desire to work safely in a live power plant environment (live AC switchgear and DC power plants); required to wear appropriate safety attire.
D. Will require driving to various locations with the geography-- Must have a valid driver's license. CDL license to transport large generators is a desired qualification for the position
E. Electricians License and ASE Certification are desired.
F. Must be available to work scheduled tours designated by the Collective Bargaining Agreement and/or the needs of the business. Associates may be required to work evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as the needs of the business necessitate. Non-scheduled days and emergency call-outs will be required as the needs of the business necessitate.

The hours of operation for this facility are from 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM, Monday through Sunday, 365 days per year. Work tours will be on a rotational schedule and may include days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays as needed by the business. Overtime may be required as needed by the business as well.
- On the job training as required. NOTE: training may be conducted at a central facility that requires travel and/or overnight stays.
