Job Description
A Calibration Technician is an experienced level of inside service technician work, typically requiring completion of a formal technical program and 2+ years of previous experience, or equivalent. Work assignments are varied, and of moderate scope and complexity. Incumbents work independently or as members of a team, servicing or repairing returned equipment. Incumbents may make recommendations regarding warranty coverage of products. Areas of specialization will include mechanical, hydraulic, electronic, pneumatic, and others.
Job Duties
:Perform calibration and related service and repair operations including but not limited to; aligning, fitting, and assembling component parts, testing the performance of electromechanical assemblies, providing fault diagnostics, providing operator user training, and capturing, recording, and analyzing calibration data and test results in strict accordance with Company approved Quality Procedures on products manufactured by the company as well as products manufactured by other companies.
:Final inspection process prior to shipment
:Service or repair of returned equipment
:Performs incoming, in:process and finished inspection of materials, components, sub:assemblies and finished products.
:Handles complex inspection problems and recommends corrective action.
:Uses a wide variety of measuring instruments.
:Reads prints and schematics
:Product support and troubleshooting via telephone or electronic media is required.
:Occasional involvement with custom products produced to complex engineering specifications
:Performs as instructor during annual training seminar of field service personnel.
Requirements
:Requires completion of a formal technical program and 2+ years of previous experience, or equivalent
:Ability to read blueprints and schematics
:Experienced knowledge of products, past and current, is a plus
:Ability to work independently and as a team
:Previous experience with mechanical, hydraulics, electronics, or pneumatics
:Proficient in standard computer applications
:Work may include lifting, handling or maintaining equipment or operation of equipment
:Occasional travel may be requiredCompany Description
