The Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia, one of the top pediatric orthopaedic groups in the country is seeking a full time Registered Nurse with an interest in providing exceptional nursing care to our ambulatory orthopaedic patients and their families.
Location of work is primarily between Bucks County Specialty Care Center and CHOP Main campus. Successful candidate must be willing to occasionally travel to Princeton office if needed. Position hours are Monday thru Friday. No weekends or holidays.
Primary responsibilities include coordination of patient care, patient/ family education, managing and triaging patient care phone calls within RN scope of practice.
Job Responsibilities 13;
:Performing nursing care to patients in a Specialty Care clinic setting.
:Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatment, examination and testing of patients.
:Completes specialty procedures and interprets results : as allowed by scope of license and role.
:Provides teaching and education to patients/families, including assisting with identifying appropriate supplies and home care orders 13;
Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations 13;
Registered Nursing License in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania required; NJ if applicable. 13;
Required Education and Experience 13;
Required Education: Graduation from an ACEN and/or CCNE accredited school of nursing or college.
Preferred Education, Experience and Cert/Lic 13;
:Minimum requirements include graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing 13;
All CHOP employees who work in a patient building or who provide patient care are required to receive an annual influenza vaccine unless they are granted a medical or religious exemption.
