Strategic Business Support Project Manager & Import/Export Directly Responsible Individual (DRI)
Project Manager Responsibilities:
â¢ Lead, manage and support cross functional projects using disciplined approaches, skills, tools and techniques.
â¢ Define, track and monitor project team activities to meet project and business objectives
â¢ Project charter and scope definition, stakeholder and team alignment, project planning tracking and monitoring, resource and risk management, change management and communications
â¢ Facilitate team meetings and discussions to drive the team to deliver results
â¢ Proactively identify and escalate risks and issues to relevant stakeholders; lead development and delivery of tactical and achievable mitigation and contingency planning. Lead teams in use of ongoing risk management & communication tools.
â¢ Deliver transparent, timely and effective verbal and written communication to teams, stakeholders and appropriate levels of the organization.
â¢ Drive team accountability for deliverables to ensure milestones are achieved.
â¢ Lead "lessons learned" exercises, share lessons among project leaders and other teams, integrate lessons into existing processes, tools and templates.
Import/Export DRI Responsibilities:
â¢ Responsible for ensuring compliance to internal and external standards for all import/export (I/E) activities across Janssen Research and Development (JRD), including PDMS and Discovery Sciences.
â¢ Responsible for effective interfaces with all groups impacting trade operations, external agencies and partners as well as data management across the business unit.
â¢ Draft and execute approved remediation plan to ensure compliance to the Global Trade Compliance Standards.
â¢ Draft and execute approved SOPs and ensure completion of other deliverables appropriate for gap remediation.
â¢ As needed, develop appropriate processes pertaining to import/export activities and their compliance.
â¢ Ensure ongoing alignment and effective communication with enterprise trade organizations and support services.
â¢ Measure, monitor and continuously improve ensuring effective change management in all aspects of I/E across JRD.
â¢ Provide guidance and leadership to all areas in JRD involved in import/export activities, including training in the applicable standards and practices, Customs preparedness, CCA relations and data management.
â¢ Ensure compliance with requirements for the Automated Commercial Environment.
â¢ Influence processes in enterprise shared service and trade organizations as needed to meet JRD needs in line with strategic and operational excellence.
â¢ Ensure JRD leadership is engaged and aware of business unit and enterprise risks.
â¢ Ensure that all pertinent business unit members are capable and acting in accordance with the needs of the business.
â¢ Guide all I/E efforts in line with the business unit priorities and ensure the highest level of compliance with all internal and external standards and regulations
â¢ A minimum of a Bachelorâs Degree in relevant discipline is required
â¢ Minimum of eight years of relevant experience in a pharmaceutical industry role is required
â¢ Understanding of scope of R&D operations in GMP/ISO regulated environment is required
â¢ Understanding of scope of R & D operations, specifically CMC processes is required
â¢ Strong organizational skills, with demonstrated experience and ability to effectively manage projects in a matrixed, multidisciplinary environment is required
â¢ Excellent written and oral communication skills are required
â¢ Demonstrated ability to influence and drive outcomes at all levels of an organization is required
â¢ Ability to respond urgently and independently to challenges using good business judgement is required
â¢ Continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify and implement solutions in ambiguous situations is required.
â¢ This position will be based in Spring House, PA and will require up to 10% domestic and international travel
