Brandywine Realty Trust has an immediate opening for a full:time Payroll Specialist in our corporate headquarters located in Radnor, PA soon to be located in the City of Philadelphia (late Summer 2017). The Payroll Specialist will be directly responsible for overseeing all processes related to the Payroll function, including accurate and timely processing of semi:monthly and bi:weekly payroll(s) for Brandywine employees. Position requires minimal supervision and the ability to handle multiple projects, independent decision making and use of good judgment based on solid knowledge and experience of payroll practices and business acumen. Compile and manage all payroll data for accurate processing of earnings, and appropriate benefit, tax, and garnishment withholdings. Perform and confirm manual pay calculations as needed.Import/export of information to and from ADP system for timely reporting of payroll activity. Interpret requirements of union contracts. Perform account reconciliations, analysis and timely resolution of payroll discrepancies, maintain adequate required documentation, and coordination with PR vendor as needed.Oversee all aspects of system administration for ADP PR system. Also serves as primary contact with vendor, including: report requests, off:cycle payroll processing, and verification of vendor billings. Update payroll cost allocation tables, maintained w/in ADP, to ensure that payroll costs are allocated appropriately in the general ledger.Provide and post all Payroll Related Journal Entries in adherence with the accelerated accounting closing calendar.Keep abreast of pertinent state, Federal, and local laws and regulations related to payroll processing. Assist in interpretation of changes/updates and when needed implementation of internal policy changes.Work with payroll vendor and government agencies as needed, regarding Payroll tax issues.Ensure timely filings for mandatory local / district assessments that are not handled by ADP.Provide accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.Work with third party providers to oversee the import/export of data to/from ADP WorkForce Now, including:Payroll Tax PaymentsDirect Deposits401k FundingDeferred Compensation PlanEmployee Stock Purchase Pan (ESPP) Work with Auditors and/or government agencies for review of PR data/processes. Ensure that payroll records and employee files are kept and maintained accurately. Maintain Tracking of Paid Time Off via ADP systemOther duties as requested. ADP WorkForce Now Version 13 experience required.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from all levels within the Company, in a timely and professional manner.Excellent customer service, attention to detail and critical problem solving skills required. Must possess strong computer skills, including, but not limited to, accounting programs, Microsoft Word and Excel.Familiarity with processing payroll for stock based compensation (ie Restricted Stock, Performance Units, Stock Options).High School diploma required.Associates degree or Bachelors degree is a plus.CPP certification a plus.Minimum of 5 to 7 years experience in payroll function(s) is required.
