The HR/Benefits and Payroll specialist owns the day:to:day operations of managing the HRIS system and benefits program. In addition, is responsible for maintenance of the corporate personnel files and human resource records.
Responsibilities:
:Maintains personnel, workers compensation, payroll and other confidential files for all employees.
:Responsible for ensuring all payroll updates in the payroll system with all employee changes, such as new hires, garnishments, terminations, resignations, leaves of absences, suspensions, wage rate, address, name and other status changes are accurate and timely.
:Works closely with management to verify accurate payroll prior to final submittal.
:Creates and submits bi:weekly reports and transfers for employee 401(k) contributions, and other reports as directed.
:Oversees benefit administration.
:Maintaining human resource information system records and compiling reports from the system as needed.
:Administers various employee benefit programs, such as group insurance, life, medical, dental and vision, accident and disability, insurance, and 401k.
:Audit, process and track benefit:related invoices to ensure accuracy of charges and prompt payment.
:Help maintain benefits and payroll data integrity in the systems by running reports, analyzing data, creating and running various reconciliations.
:Support new hire process through training programs for new hire orientation and enrollment of new hire benefits and ensuring election of company benefits within a timely manner.
:Serve as a point of contact for employee benefit questions, working closely HR Manager and brokers to assist with benefits planning, decision making, plan set up and issue resolutions.
:Interact directly with employees on benefit related issues. Escalate issues to HR Manager as needed.
:Ensure accuracy of Paid Time Off (PTO) benefits, investigate issues and communicate resolutions to employees.
:Filing papers and documents into appropriate employee file.
:Auditing files for compliance.
:Complete payroll processing according to company policy and applicable wage and hour laws.
:Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
:Bachelors degree in Human Resources or Accounting preferred.
:2:5 years previous experience in the Human Resources field preferred.
:Previous experience with Paylocity HRIS/Payroll system preferred.
:Demonstrated strong organization skills
:Strong attention to detail and ability to organize and prioritize a busy workload.
:A friendly approach, while maintaining the utmost in confidentiality.
:A high level of maturity to effectively work with individuals at all levels, both internally and externally.
:Perform a high volume of work effectively without immediate supervision and meet strict, recurring deadlines.
:Ability to work as a part of a team, while providing a strong individual contribution.
:Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
:Ability to m aintain confidentiality and a high level of ethics in all matters and interactions.
