Goal of the Position: To fulfill the mission of MACSA through

the quality performance of his/her job-related tasks and responsibilities.

Job Summary of Tasks and Responsibilities

The MACSA executive director shall fulfill the tasks and responsibilities listed below:

Develop relationships with Christian schools to cultivate new members.
Work closely with the Communications Director and Secretary to maintain an accurate database of schools.
Establish and build personal rapport with school administrators.
Implement the vision for MACSA under the leadership of the president.
Ensure that the policies of MACSA are followed.
Oversee the daily operation of the association by supervising the association, its employees, and its activities.
Perform duties assigned by the executive committee.
Communicate regularly with the president.
Serve as a member of all standing and special committees.
Work closely with the Forum Co-Director and the Professional Development Forum Committee in the planning of PD Forums that will best serve the organization's constituents.
Assist the president in organizing meetings of the executive committee and advisory council
Work closely with the Treasurer to oversee the association’s finances and prepare financial reports in accordance with established financial policies.
Submit recommendations to the Executive Committee for filling staff positions as needed in accordance with budget allocations.
Work closely with the student activities coordinators to insure appropriate planning and coordinating of the association’s activities, events and programs.
Work closely with the Communications Director to oversee the association’s publications.
Be responsible to update job descriptions and establish a clear and current organization chart of MACSA staff showing lines of authority and communication.
Work closely with the Executive Committee to develop and maintain a Strategic Plan for the organization that will secure its viability as a service organization in the future.
Seek new avenues and opportunities for MACSA in serving its constituents that complement the association’s mission, vision and purpose.
Serve as single point of contact with corporate and ministry partners.
Agrees to a one year contract renewable at the discretion of the executive committee.

Maintain accurate records of individual contacts made
Maintains accurate expense account records and submit monthly to the treasurer
Submit quarterly reports of current activities to the president
Personal qualities:

A person who has a deep and personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ
A person who has in-depth knowledge of Christian education; preferably a former school administrator
A person who is an active member of a Christ-centered, evangelical church
Able to take direction easily
Is a self-starter who can effectively move MACSA forward
At all times, exhibits a naturally positive, optimistic and encouraging attitude
Demonstrates exceptional communication skills
Possesses strong organizational ability
Exemplifies the highest standards of spiritual, ethical and personal behavior
Communicates an effective ability to collaborate
While this position does require occasional, regional travel to MACSA meetings/events and visits to member schools, the day-to-day administrative tasks may be performed remotely.
