Parkinsons Disease Study

If you are 35-70 years old, you may be eligible for a medical research studysponsored by The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
Volunteers must have a PD diagnosis for 10 years or less and have been
30 years old or older at the time of diagnosis.
Women must be postmenopausal or surgically sterile.
• What is the goal of this study?
To assess the safety and tolerability of an oral medication administered
over 14 days. The compound is being tested for its effect on cognition in PD.
• What is involved if I participate?
The study involves an initial overnight inpatient stay.Participants will begiven the study drug and monitored in the hospital for 30 hours.
They will be sent home with additional doses of the study drug
which they will take for 2 weeks. There will be an in-person follow-up
visit at the end of the study.
• Will I be compensated for participation?
Participants will receive study procedures at no cost. Individuals will be
compensated up to $1,085 for their participation.
