Arkema Inc. is actively recruiting for a Technical Marketing Specialist. This position is geographically based in King of Prussia, PA area, reporting directly to the Kynar Market Manager. This position will be responsible for specific sales and marketing efforts as directed by Business Manager, Sales Manager, Market Managers and Marketing Director. Tasks include lead/contact management, generation and follow:up, identification of end users and subsequent end:use selling, promotion to target markets, advertising and promotion activities, and evaluation of new potential markets. The Technical Marketing Specialist will provide marketing support, competitive analysis, suggestions for web enhancement, fielding and responding to general questions from the organization and customers, and managing inside sales activities in the US as well as small customer account management. Development of strong customer market relationships is key to maintaining customer satisfaction. The employee is expected to have the capability to give product presentations and advice to a technical audience. After 12 to 18 months in this position, which includes technical training, the individual will be fully prepared for advancement and will be expected to move into one of the following jobs : Field Sales Engineer, Business Development Engineer or End Use Application Engineer. As part of that advancement, he/she must be willing to relocate.
Technical Marketing Specialist will:
Leads generation and Management
1. Manage the leads and contact management process and system to ensure effective follow:up on all leads generated through various activities and promotions.
2. Qualification of leads that will facilitate efficient follow:up by the sales and BDI teams
3. Assist as an inside sales backup when workload is high or vacation schedules reduce people power in the office at times.
Expand Technical Polymers Marketing Presence
1. Coordinate the updating of Technical Polymers website with relevant information obtained through the interaction with potential customers and market research that is done.
2. Targeted distribution of literature and promotional material
3. Identify and implement improvements in existing marketing/sales tools
4. Conduct market research, build global competitive intelligence, and conduct competitor analysis and benchmarking studies on an on:going basis to support division needs. Work with communication group to continuously upgrade web site design and function
End:use Selling
1. Identify end:users that would potentially benefit from the use of Technical Polymers.
2. Defining market areas where new product development activities will be possible
3. Contact and present to end users to raise the general awareness of Technical Polymers benefits and applications
4. Attendance at relevant trades shows to support the business and target end:users
5. Investigate new business opportunities as defined by product:line business teams
Sales Activities
1. Responsible for top:line growth by developing new accounts and growing existing inside sales accounts.
2. Responsible to manage inside sales accounts totaling 5M in revenue to be defined by business management
3. Manage small customer accounts within a close geography of King of Prussia, PA
: Undergraduate degree required (technical science or engineering preferred but not absolutely required if supplemented by marketing or technical sales experience). An educational interest in polymers is a plus.
