Job Description:/h3:
Summary: Under minimal supervision, performs complex servicing, maintenance and repairs on company vehicles and equipment to maximize safe and productive operations. Is tasked with the responsibility of coaching, training and mentoring all lower level classifications to improve their technical and job skills.
Position Summary:
Performs general mechanical overhaul and repair work on trucks, tractors, loaders, automobiles, and other related types of vehicles and equipment
Oversees and conducts repairs on brake, engine, electrical, fuel, hydraulic, transmission, ignition, air, exhaust, axle assemblies and related systems on all types of equipment
Inspects, adjusts and replaces components and related parts including valves, pistons, main bearing assemblies, and cooling, fuel, and exhaust systems.
Repairs and overhauls transmissions, differentials, front and rear axle assemblies and ignition systems
Inspect, repairs, and reassembles air compressors, pumps, and related equipment; repairs, rebuilds, and install hydraulic jacks, pumps, cylinders, and controls.
Welds and modifies equipment and fabricates parts as needed or as directed.
Completes paperwork associated with repairing equipment and keeps accurate records to meet all DOT requirements
Ensures that all equipment released to the field meets or exceeds DOT standards.
Make road calls to service disabled vehicles.
Keeps shop clean and organized to promote professionalism, safety and efficiency.
Follows all safety policies and procedures.
Performs other job:related duties as assigned by supervisor or other management employees
Position Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Class A CDL preferred

Welding/Fabrication Skills
PA State Inspection License preferred
diagnostic/troubleshooting skills
5+ years Heavy
equipment/automotive repair experience
Ability to read and comprehend schematics, operation, service and safety manuals
Basic computer skills
