Situation in Organization
This position will report to the Sr. Business Manager, Hydrogen Peroxides and Epoxides.
Job dimensions
Manage portfolio of epoxide customers within the specialty segment, representing 3:5 specialty markets in the United States and/or Canada. This role will be positioned to drive the new product development (NPD) portfolio, including bio:plasticizers and specialty epoxides. The role is to acquire new customers to drive profitable growth and develop an overall understanding of the specialty epoxide business, customers and related applications.
Activities
: Sell and promote products and applications to existing and potential customers within the epoxide specialty business.
: Manage all aspects of the selling/account management process (developing budget, monthly forecast, customer proposals, draft contracts, price, margin, receivables, etc).
: Drive to meet BU strategy to meet sales and profit goals for accounts/markets assigned.
: Build solid relationships at all levels of the customer's organization.
: Grow sales in the specialty markets (profitable growth) through development of an opportunity pipeline.
: Develop overall understanding of the epoxides specialty business(es) (manufacturing, safety and handling, storage, transportation, etc)
: Develop adequate technical understanding of customer's business and related applications while facilitating the BU resources of Technical Support Team.
: Utilize selling, technology and trouble shooting skills to identify and propose improvements to optimize customer operations and develop/implement value added solutions.
: Work closely with supply chain, customer service and technical teams to ensure all customers' needs are met and/or surpassed and that we capture the value of our offering.
: Communicate all necessary information to the business regarding existing and potential customers, market trends and competitive activities.

Context and environment
: Being at ease and prepared in front of the customer and/or management. This includes good presentation and negotiating skills.
: Able to operate in a fast paced and multiple initiatives environment.
: Maintaining a reliable, consistent, and positive corporate image is critical to the long:term success of the business.
: Maintain communications with the business, supply chain, customer service and R and D to ensure consistent flow of information from the marketplace.
: The Account Manager may work in a variety of locations including corporate office and a virtual office.
: Travel is expected to be 50 :60 of the time. May be higher at times.
Accountabilities
: Achieve targets as directed by the Sr. Business Manager.
: Ensure regular interactions and good relationship management with customers, call planning and preparation, prospecting for new sales.
: Leverage new tools and technology as specified by the business for CRM management.
: Develop pricing initiatives for review with the Sr. Business Manager.
: Deliver the annual proposal for volume and pricing by account in agreement with the Sr. Business Manager.
: Execute the process for delivery of monthly pricing and volume forecast by account.
: Document and provide valuable competitive sales and marketing information. This includes knowing the overall market size with an estimate of share by producer for like products as well as competitive alternatives to our products.
: Utilize travel and promotion costs in an effective manner while maintaining necessary level of interaction by account.
Qualificiations / Experience Required
: Bachelor's Degree in business, sales, marketing, engineering, or related discipline.
: Understands Arkema's strategy, customers, core business processes, the chemical industry, marketplace and competition
: Proven negotiation ski
