Purpose and Objective: SAP America, Inc. seeks a Support Architect at our Newtown Square, PA location ( and various client sites nationwide) to serve within our Global CoE organization, to understand and proceed on new business models and operational challenges of our MaxAttention, Active Embedded, and Enterprise Support customers. Under the umbrella of MaxAttention Next Generation, provides the necessary methodology and content to drive the innovation agenda with continual redefining of requirements and industry business models.
Expectations and Tasks: In addition to delivering innovations, engages pro:actively with our Premium Engagement and Enterprise Support customers using a holistic approach to analyze, understand, and define action plans for customers situations. Supports customers in increasing the value they get out of their SAP Solution with reduced Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Resolves production down situations and escalations. Ensures customer satisfaction and success. Secures maintenance revenue and protects the SAP brand. Builds supportability features. Standardizes and automates delivery of content and invents new delivery models. Operates to the highest possible engineering standards. In the area of Application Process Design and Implementation, carries out the following: defines customer process models and executes discovery workshops; designs and implements application architecture; implements, tests, and trains applications and processes; and optimizes business processes. In the area of integration and development (including validation), carries out the following: responsible for integration topics, including user integration, system integration, and process integration; and ensures data consistency, performance, and exception management. In the area of architecture and infrastructure, carries out the following: defines technical architecture, landscape, and underlying infrastructure; and provides a detailed architecture blueprint as a basis for the other work streams (including General Basis Support). In the area of General Basis Support, is responsible for Application Lifecycle Management; the setup of project and production landscapes; and the setup of software logistics, including providing user access and introducing security aspects. In the area of Data Migration, carries out setup of the migration landscape and migration tools; and implements rules for mapping and technical, rule:based data quality measures. In the area of RunSAP Like a Factory/Transition to Operations, carries out the following: defines the customer target operational model; designs and implements Application Lifecycle Management; integrates new business solutions or technical components into operation; and sets up or optimizes the operation control center. Carries out System Landscape Optimization, including Landscape Transformation Management, SAP LT based projects, and SAP General Ledger Migration. Provides coaching to CoE Functional Leads. Organizes delivery and development activities. Communicates with senior management. Applies negotiation skills. 30 travel required.
