Purpose and Objective: SAP America, Inc. seeks a Senior Support Engineer at our Newtown Square, Pennsylvania office and various client sites nationwide. As Global Center of Expertise organization, it is our task and responsibility to understand and proceed on the new business models and operational challenges of our MaxAttention, Active Embedded, and Enterprise Support customers. Under the umbrella of MaxAttention Next Generation we provide the necessary methodology and content to drive the innovation agenda with continual redefining of requirements and industry business models.
Expectations and Tasks: Define customer process model and execute discovery workshop, design and implement application architecture, and implement, test, train applications and processes. Optimize business processes for Integration and Development (including Validation) while taking care of the integration topics like user integration, system integration and process integration. Ensure data consistency, performance and exception management for Architecture and Infrastructure, define technical architecture, landscape and underlying infrastructure, and provide a detailed architecture blueprint as basis for the other work streams (like General Basis Support). For General Basis Support, provide application Lifecycle Management, setup the project and production landscape, and setup the software logistics, provide user access and introduce security aspects. For Data Migration, setup the migration landscape and migration tools and implement rules for mapping and technical, rule:based data quality measures. For RunSAP Like a Factory / Transition to Operations, define the customer target operational model, design and implement application lifecycle management, integrate new business solutions or technical components into operation and setup or optimize operation control center. Moreover, for system Landscape Optimization (Landscape Transformation Management, SAP LT based projects, SAP General Ledger Migration). Organize delivery and development activities for group of people, communicate with senior management, negotiate, translate requirements into technical specifications, develop according to technical specifications according to Global CoE standards, participate in internal projects driven by internal requirements, and train and coach other CoE Engineers. In the Backoffice Role, responsible for production support, participating in weekend support activities, reporting errors to development organizations, working as a functional expert in de:escalations of war rooms, leading de:escalation activities and other engagements for strategic engagements.
Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Information Systems, or a related field of study and 5 years of experience required. The company will also accept a Masters degree and 3 years of experience.
Work Experience: Experience must involve working in technical Analytical Skills (root cause analysis), programming experience and code optimization in ABAP, Java, C/C++, debugging experience in in ABAP, and Java Perf
